About The Position
Saturn Petcare, a German company with its first U.S. facility located in Terre Haute, is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team in the production and packaging of wet pet food. This role is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing company and contribute to its success story. The facility operates on 8-hour shifts, five days a week, with specific shifts available: 2nd shift from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, Monday through Friday, and 3rd shift from 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM, Sunday through Thursday. The hourly wage for these positions is $17. As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring that the packaging production equipment runs efficiently. This includes setting up, operating, and adjusting the equipment to maximize production while maintaining high product quality. You will also perform routine maintenance and report any information related to safety, quality, and productivity. Experience with packaging and conveying systems is a plus. In addition to the Packaging Operator role, there is also a Kitchen/Machine Operator position available. This role involves operating kitchen equipment efficiently, setting up and adjusting the equipment to maximize production, and maintaining product quality. You will analyze equipment performance, perform routine maintenance, and report on safety, quality, and productivity. General Labor Helpers will start by assisting in the assortment area, where responsibilities include sorting through semi-finished products and inspecting them to ensure they meet Saturn's quality standards. The sorted raw materials will then be placed into finished variety packs. Based on work ethic and attendance, there are opportunities for advancement and full-time positions after 90 days. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED. It is important to note that GMP requirements prohibit wearing jewelry on the production floor, and steel toe or composite safety boots are required. All other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided by the company. Additionally, awareness of allergens is crucial, as products may contain egg, shellfish, fish, and gluten.
