About The Position

MarCom is seeking a General HAZWOPER Instructor to instruct initial and refresher HAZWOPER courses.

Requirements

• Extensive field experience with and knowledge of emergency responses, site assessments, and writing or reviewing safety and health plans.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
• Experience conducting technical training.
• Knowledge of the following topics: chemical and physical properties of hazardous materials, hazardous material identification, hazard communication, fire safety and extinguisher training, site characterization, site control, incident command systems, PPE, respiratory protection, decontamination, medical surveillance, spill response and control, site hazards and worker safety, radiation, and confined space entry awareness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Communicating technical information in a group setting
• Proficient in Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
• Minimum Education Required: BS/BA in a science-related field
• Minimum Experience Required: Professional in a science-related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Licenses, Certifications, etc. required: Completed a HAZWOPER training program for teaching the subjects they are expected to teach, or they shall have the academic credentials and instructional experience necessary for teaching the subjects.
• Work Authorization/Security Clearance Required: No
