About The Position

H2O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America. H2O is currently seeking a General Groundskeeper to join our team in Harrison County, Mississippi. The Benefits Overall remuneration includes: Health Insurance, Dental, Vision & Telemedicine. Pay ranges from $12–$20/hour, with $12–$14 for entry-level candidates, $15–$17 for those with relevant experience, and $18–$20 for advanced experience and/or certifications.

Requirements

Must be willing to learn all assigned tasks and demonstrate strong work ethic and reliability.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including department rules, policies and regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers and the public.
Ability to interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

Mow grass and maintain wastewater facilities, lift stations and offices.
Operate lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers and other ground maintenance equipment.
Perform edging, trimming, pruning and general landscaping duties.
Assist with planting, removing and maintaining trees, shrubs and flowers.
Pick up and dispose of litter and debris from wastewater facilities and lift stations.
Assist with maintenance and cleaning of wastewater facility buildings and offices.
Assist other maintenance departments when needed.
Ensure all tools and equipment are accounted for, maintained and kept in proper working conditions.
Ensure all work assignments are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
Demonstrates knowledge of operating characteristics of assigned equipment.
Demonstrates knowledge of work hazards and appropriate safety precautions.
