Summary: This position is responsible for the daily management of all activities of the FSQA department to include implementation and execution of food safety programs, specification adherence , and product quality for products within their assigned facility. This includes monitoring, verification, and record keeping associated with adherence to government regulations and internal food safety systems. In addition, the FSQA Manager will oversee departmental budgets, turnover, safety , and all special projects as assigned. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensuring all Tyson FSQA policies and procedures are followed Leadership of FSQA Supervisors and FSQA Technicians including selecti on and training. Verification of production practices from raw material/live animal receiving through finished product quality and Food Safety Systems. Supporting sanitation through monitoring of p reoperational and operational sanitation D eveloping , implementing , and maintaining the HACCP/HARPC & SSOP programs Ensuring finished product conforms to customer product specifications and is properly labeled R eport ing product issues and audit results to plant and corporate FSQA plant management , corporate sales , R&D, and operations I nteracting with customers and their agents for product showings , plant tours , and audits Conducting investigation s and respon ding to quality related customer complaints or complaint trends M onitoring microbiological results , including bacterial swabs and shelf-life studies Participating in new product commercialization This position is responsible for food safety, food quality and legality.
