About The Position

Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of inspections, repairs, and maintenance for cars and locomotives.
• Supervise equipment inspection, maintenance, and repair programs.
• Provide diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise to increase equipment availability.
• Lead the shift and maintain oversight of mechanical and safety issues.
• Engage with the Safety Management System to identify and mitigate risks.
• Oversee scheduling and execution of work orders for assigned equipment.
• Review daily reports to ensure proper documentation of inspections and work orders.
• Monitor availability and reliability metrics and evaluate problem areas.
• Participate in Maintenance Effectiveness Reviews for the Reliability Centered Maintenance program.
• Ensure proper training for foremen and mechanical craft employees in maintenance procedures.
