About The Position

The General Factory position at International Paper involves checking the machine area for safety and cleanliness at the start of each shift, processing corrugated sheets according to specifications, assisting with machine set-ups and quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Employees are expected to complete paperwork for tracking production metrics and perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor. The role requires flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or state registered GED preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not necessary.
• Stable work history.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Ability to maintain quality and safety.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to work overtime and some Saturdays when scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Check machine area for safety, cleanliness, and mechanical problems at shift start.
• Process corrugated sheets according to written specifications/diagrams.
• Assist with routine machine set-ups and quality checks.
• Complete paperwork for tracking and computer data entry related to production metrics.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the shift.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned by immediate supervisor.
