We are currently seeking an experienced General Construction Technician to join our Health Center team. The General Construction Technician is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Plant Renovation Department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- One (1) year experience working in construction
Responsibilities
- Remodel / Unit Turnover
- Assists with apartment turnover.
- Supports unit renovations through demo, framing, minor repairs, trim work, hauling/cleanup, and general jobsite assistance.
- May operate company truck for the purpose of transporting workers, construction materials, and light equipment.
- Performs general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
- Completes assigned work orders daily according to work order system policy
- Performs minor building and equipment repairs
- Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition
- Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor
- Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts
