About The Position

Job Summary: The primary duties of the General Laborer are to safely assist crews with various types of construction projects. Projects range from performance contracting, energy efficiency retrofit, and backup/supplemental power distribution generator equipment emplacement. The General Laborer will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of his/her crew members along with the timely completion of each project they are assigned. Laborers need to have the ability to communicate with residents and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner.

Requirements

Minimum one year of experience as a general laborer or skilled trades apprentice.
Valid Driver's License.
Ability to proficiently read, write, and communicate in English.
Must be willing and able to travel 75-85%+ as required (driving company vehicle and/or fly commercially if necessary).
Possess an in-depth knowledge of construction processes.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Travel required (75-85%+), must be willing and able to drive company vehicle and/or fly commercially if necessary.
Must be able to stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time.
Must possess the manual dexterity to operate hand tools.

Responsibilities

Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and procedures while complying with legal requirements.
Properly use hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
Proficiently learn all aspects of the installation process.
Must be punctual, organized, and professional.
Properly communicate with Senior Staff to ensure each project is installed correctly, safely, and in accordance with determined timelines.
