About The Position

Broadcom Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Installation Technician to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of semiconductor equipment into our existing cleanrooms. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of skills in electrical, plumbing, construction, high purity piping, ducting, and sheet metal work.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in plumbing, construction, high purity piping, ducting, or sheet metal is required.
  • Relevant certifications in plumbing, construction, or sheet metal work are a plus.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor cleanroom environments is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • At this level 6+ years of related experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certifications or vocational training in electrical, plumbing, construction, or sheet metal is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general construction to support our cleanrooms and tool installation schedule.
  • Install semiconductor equipment and related systems in cleanroom environments.
  • Work with system owners to design and install portions of the system or room as needed.
  • Identify needed parts for specific job create the order and have minimal on hand supply.
  • Work with various systems, including PVC, Stainless steel, PVDF, PFA and Exhaust both coated and non-coated.
  • Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure installations are completed on schedule and meet all safety and quality standards.
  • Follow cleanroom protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry regulations.
  • Follow Broadcom’s internal specification and tool installation standards.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Create and complete a work plan prior to all installations.
