General Construction Engineer / Estimator

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced General Construction Engineer / Estimator to manage and estimate concrete and restoration projects from bid phase through final completion. This role combines cost estimating, project scheduling, and field coordination to ensure high-quality work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with concrete flatwork, foundations, or restoration projects and possesses strong leadership and financial oversight capabilities.

Requirements

Proven experience estimating concrete, flatwork, foundations, or restoration projects
Strong project management skills including scheduling, budgeting, and crew coordination
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work
Field experience managing subcontractors and job-site operations
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with estimating and project management software
Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites as required

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for concrete and restoration projects
Review project drawings, specifications, and scopes to ensure accuracy and completeness
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking systems
Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and inspections
Monitor job-site progress to maintain quality standards and timeline adherence
Manage change orders, documentation, and financial reporting
Communicate proactively with internal teams and customers to align expectations and resolve issues
Support smooth project transition from awarded bid to active construction
