About The Position

The General Clerk II position at Interactive Government Holdings (IGH) involves providing administrative support to the US Department of Agriculture's NRCS staff in Missouri. Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in office management and/or administration.
  • Proficient in word processing with a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Ability to operate small office machines and understand general office procedures.
  • Strong written communication skills with proper grammar and punctuation.
  • Ability to file documents efficiently, both electronically and physically.
  • Capability to learn and utilize agency-specific software and web-based applications.
  • Basic telephone skills and ability to multi-task effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for/with USDA NRCS.
  • Familiarity with Farm Bill initiatives/programs.
  • Knowledge of natural resource conservation efforts in Missouri.

Responsibilities

  • Assist NRCS staff with conservation program documentation and general administration.
  • Collect and assemble cost data and process payment application requests.
  • Review invoices, vouchers, and paperwork associated with NRCS Programs.
  • Compile supporting documents for payment requests and ensure compliance with contracting provisions.
  • Track producer requests for wetland compliance and maintain related case files.
  • Assist in accuracy reviews of documentation and process program payment information.
  • Establish and maintain contracting files and producer records.
  • Compile contract documentation including conservation plans and maps.
  • Assist with driving Government vehicles for maintenance and service.
  • Process mail and manage shipping/receiving tasks.
  • Provide technical information to program applicants regarding eligibility requirements.
  • Assist with uploading documents to conservation planning software and follow up on conservation plan progress.
