About The Position

We foster a professional and collaborative work environment and are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Utility Technician to join our team in Asheville, NC. The Utility Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and operational support of the assigned facility. This part-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for our clients and their occupants.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or handyman services
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and moving objects up to a moderate weight.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, as required by client contracts.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain inventory of essential supplies, including but not limited to cleaning materials, paper goods, and lighting components.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks and repairs to facility assets, such as furniture adjustments, hardware tightening, and basic equipment troubleshooting.
  • Oversee the collection, sorting, and disposal of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of spaces for meetings, events, and daily operations, including the arrangement of tables, chairs, and equipment.
  • Facilitate the internal transport and delivery of materials and items as required.
  • Conduct routine checks for safety hazards and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provide support to the janitorial team and other departments with various operational tasks as directed.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the facility.
