About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Evening General Cleaner to join our team at a prestigious local private school. This role is vital to ensuring our students and faculty return to a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment every morning.

Requirements

  • Reliability: Must have consistent, reliable transportation to and from the Southern Pines campus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school, medical, or professional office setting is highly preferred.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for the duration of the shift.
  • Background: Must be comfortable working in an environment with children and be able to pass a standard background check.

Responsibilities

  • Classroom Maintenance: Emptying trash, sanitizing desks, wiping down surfaces, and cleaning chalkboards/whiteboards.
  • Floor Care: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming high-traffic areas and classrooms.
  • Restroom Sanitization: Deep cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, including restocking paper products and soap.
  • Common Areas: Cleaning hallways, entryways, and cafeteria spaces.
  • Security: Ensuring windows and doors are locked and the alarm system is set upon departure.
