About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of cleaning activities in assigned buildings and facilities, ensuring they are kept in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition. The role includes various tasks related to the area of assignment, focusing on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic operations of janitorial work.
• Familiarity with methods, materials, and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Understanding of safe work practices and the use of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Effective communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
• Capability to operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, climbing, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• High Dusting: Clean high surfaces above shoulder height using a treated high duster.
• Sanitizing / Spot Cleaning: Sanitize surfaces below shoulder height and remove fingerprints and smudges from doorknobs and walls.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Clean sinks, toilets, and refill soap and paper dispensers as needed.
• Empty Trash Cans: Remove liners and clean trash cans, replacing with clean liners.
• Floor Dusting or Vacuuming: Dust mop or vacuum floors, ensuring to clean under furniture.
• Grounds Care: Clean outside areas, empty ash urns and trash cans, and police sidewalks for trash.
• Public Common Areas: Dust mop and spot mop hallways, clean glass, and check for cobwebs.
• Food Court: Clean tables, remove trash, and sanitize eating areas.
• Floor Sanitizing: Mop floors with germicidal solution, ensuring to clean under furniture.
• Your Inspection: Review cleaning steps and check furniture placement after completing tasks.
• Customer Relations and Service: Interact courteously with customers and report any issues to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Account Manager.
