Key Position Details: Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice. 1.0 FTE position. 10 hour work days. Mix of inpatient/outpatient care Role supports general cardiology patients. EMR: Excellian is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.

Requirements

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant Program Required.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
• Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
• BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.

Nice To Haves

• New graduates may be considered.
• Minimum 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
• Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
