About The Position

The General Business and Industrial Specialist will serve in the Centralized Coordination Department of FLTREADCEN EAST, responsible for developing, facilitating, and managing programs related to depot business operations. This role involves providing technical guidance, preparing logistics plans, and managing support agreements for public-private partnerships, ensuring effective program execution and customer service.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
  • Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Understanding of complex aircraft industrial/production operations.
  • Experience in Long-Range Planning (LRP) for assigned depot level repair systems.
  • Experience serving as a senior specialist for LRP (Aircraft) and LRP (Engines).
  • Experience providing technical guidance and feedback to lower-grade specialists.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education.
  • Experience in logistics planning and management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, facilitate, and manage FRC East programs for assessment of corporate issues related to the depot as a business.
  • Provide technical guidance, review recommendations, and assist lower-grade specialists assigned program responsibility.
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate logistics plans for Long-Range Planning (LRP) determinations.
  • Develop and submit a Logistics Requirement and Funding Plan (LRFP) to identify depot funding requirements.
  • Monitor progress and report status of logistics milestones.
  • Negotiate and manage support agreements for Public-Private Partnership arrangements with commercial industry.
  • Identify, evaluate, develop, and implement innovative solutions to eliminate program obstacles.
  • Provide consistent, quality customer service to ensure successful program/project execution.
