About The Position

Join Our Team at Lakeside Book Company! We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance task to ensure the smooth operation of our facility. Starting Rate: $21.25/hr. with a $2.00/hr. shift differential when working 2nd and 3rd shifts! Work Hours: Rotating Shifts (Every 6 weeks) - 7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, 11PM-7AM Work Location: Willard, OH

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds
Proven experience in maintenance or a related field.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems preferred.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks for buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
Repair plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and HVAC units as needed.
Paint, patch, and maintain walls, ceilings, and floors.
Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping and snow removal.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Assist with special projects as needed.
