HMGMA is the abbreviation of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. It is Hyundai Motor Group's first dedicated EV mass-production plant and is an innovative plant with cutting-edge production technology applied.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent desired.
  • No reason for disqualification for overseas travel or stay.
  • Skills/Knowledge: MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint.
  • Experience in vehicle assembly processes and equipment of General Assembly division.
  • Experience or knowledge of the new plant construction process.
  • Up to 5 years of job-related experience in an engineering/industrial environment.
  • Experience in vehicle assembly automation and automatic supply of assembly parts.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Skills/Knowledge: CATIA, CAD or similar programs.
  • Good communication skills and excellent leadership skills.
  • Domestic / International travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical expert of assigned area during vehicle launches.
  • Coordinate and lead project activities, including new equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.
  • Prepare spec package after reviewing requirement (Quality, Safety, UPH, Layout, Ergonomics etc.).
  • Communicate with Advanced Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Team in Korea and other relevant teams in R&D from Korea/USA for successful launch.
  • Host video conference in new vehicle design improvement and status follow up meeting.
  • Responsible for preparation of the Assembly Process Sheets considering method and line condition with detailed picture and text.
  • Explain work content through a picture drawn in the workers’ position according to work content, work order and work status.
  • Check the workability and quality for vehicle assembly.
  • Check vehicle drawing (tightening hardware and torque, vehicle dimension, etc.) and design work process as the assembly sequence.
  • Determine the Man Hour based on MODAPTS and optimize allocation.
  • Analyze and continuously improve performance of assigned area (safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors).
  • Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem solving teams, as directed by Senior Management.
  • Serve as technical expert for Team Members, Team Leaders, including technical training, as required.
  • Support daily production issues as required.
  • Continually review technical developments in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate.
  • Prepare presentations/reports on current projects, progress, and issues to management.
  • Understand and control labor allocation.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.
  • Perform multi-tasks with multiple priorities within a designated time frame.
