GENERAL ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN: We are looking for skilled Assemblers to join our team at the Wausau location. Assemblers work in a team environment to set up work areas and assemble large motors and generators to customer specifications with Safety and Quality as top priorities. Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend established procedures for safety, quality and general assembly.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
  • Proven experience as an assembler in a general manufacturing setting desired.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

  • Insert, connect, test, coil wind, and insulation cut.
  • Perform sometimes complex assembly processes, often using various hand and small power tools.
  • Review of work instructions, basic prints and set up instructions for work processes.
  • Verify part numbers on parts and materials to be used in assembly process.
  • May require some work station set up for staging material kits, basic machine settings and other requirements.
  • Often requires checking work for defects, including visual inspection and use of various measuring equipment.
  • Notify Team lead person of any deviations in product quality from prior operations or current assembly to ensure in line defects are recognized and properly corrected before moving on to next assembly process.
  • Accurately and fully complete all necessary documentation and paperwork for parts/processes completed.
