See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Position Overview: As part of the talented General Assembly Team, you will be a front-line leader who as a part of the trainer team sets up jobs, trains operators, makes improvements to the department, and is a liaison to support teams. Requirements
- Meet qualifications for General Assembly Operator
- Be knowledgeable and proficient in all product families within respective department.
- Dependable – have a good attendance record
- Good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and lead others
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities as defined for General Assembly Operator
- Train newly hired, temporary, and cross-training employees, in proper manufacturing techniques as detailed in DWIs.
- Understand and train employees of floor layout (5S).
- Be knowledgeable, practice and reinforce safety rules and guidelines.
- Be capable of properly recording labor and explaining how to understand production rates.
- Work with Operators and Production Pickers to ensure cells are fully stocked with parts to complete production orders
- Be able to perform set up functions in all product families, including 1st piece where required
- Assist Operators who are having problems and call in outside help where needed
- Have an understanding of ISO requirements and our Quality Management System
- Have an understanding and communicate company metrics.
