About The Position

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent education.
  • Self-management skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and good communication/personal interaction skills.
  • Basic counting skills and basic soldering experience helpful.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and keyboarding experience helpful.
  • Ability to stand or sit for the entire shift as required.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
  • Ability to walk over a mile throughout the workday.
  • Full use of both hands and legs, and ability to grip and manipulate small parts.
  • Ability to lift and control 25 lbs overhead momentarily.
  • Ability to work in both high-variety and high-repetition environments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, and material moving equipment as appropriate.
  • Work at different workstations and on various products.
  • Retrieve parts from various heights including floor or overhead.
  • Read and comprehend drawings, work-aids, and safety documents.
  • Practice good safety and housekeeping skills, including participation in 5S and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Work with potentially hazardous materials and review Safety Data Sheets regularly.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and report equipment issues requiring technician review.
  • Assist in directing workflow and training of others as required by the supervisor.
  • Communicate with team members in a collaborative and positive manner.
  • Demonstrate sufficient technical and quality proficiency.
  • Attain production output consistent with typical employees.
  • Report to work by scheduled start time and maintain break schedule.
  • Utilize computers and terminals for logging in/out and submitting time off requests.
  • Complete paperwork requirements and computer data input.
  • May be assigned to different product lines as necessary.
