About The Position

The General Assembler position is an entry level position where you learn and develop your skills by completing basic machine and manual assembly operations to finish and package our products (printed products, labels, stick-to-skin wearables, and electronic components) in accordance with our Safety Policy, Quality Plan, and ISO procedures. Able to package product for shipment or inventory. Openings for 2nd & 3rd Shift 2nd shift position hours: 3:00 pm - 11:30 am, Monday - Friday ($0.70/hour 2nd shift differential provided) 3rd shift position hours: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am, Sunday - Friday ($0.90/hour 3rd shift differential provided)

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read a ruler
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve as needed with assigned task
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to receive frequent feedback on work task and respond accordingly
  • Ability to read Engineering Drawings (preferred)
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit.
  • The employee is required to regularly reach with arms and hands; use hands to handle, finger or feel objects, tools or controls. Hands and fingers may perform repetitive motion.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move over 25 pounds with the use of a lift assist.
  • This job requires close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and hand Apply Sheets & Individual Parts
  • Manual and Machine Hole Punching
  • Waste Matrix Removal
  • Inspection
  • Count and Bundle
  • Wrap and Final Pack
  • Membrane Switch Assembly
  • Input data into ERP software to accurately account for time and parts completed in operations.
  • Work within well-established practices and clearly defined scope of work.
  • Work with various types of adhesives and materials.
  • Ensure thorough completion of paperwork in accordance with the quality management system.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment
  • Plan tasks specifically related to job at hand and meet task milestones based on production schedule.
  • Work under close supervision job to job or project to project depending on scheduled plans.
  • May be required to train others.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
