Bargaining Unit: UUP Job Summary: The Department of Anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem General Anesthesiologist.
Requirements
- New York State Medical Licensure.
- Medical Doctor Degree.
- Successful completion of training in an ACGME-accredited residency.
- Board Certification or eligible.
- Sub-specialty, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to all patients through anesthetic techniques (general, regional, & sedation) in general operating room ambulatory setting and obstetrical suite.
- Participate in clinical operating room supervision for residents and medical students as required by the department.
- Mentor residents and medical students in the operating room.
- Perform on-call assignments as required by the department, to include clinical service in general operating room, OB, and ambulatory coverage.
- Perform call commitment, as needed and/or required.
