About The Position

The primary responsibilities of this role are to collaborate with other scientists to execute, analyze, and interpret high throughput molecular biology experiments to understand post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. The role involves using laboratory automation and cell-based assays to increase throughput, establishing protocols and controls to ensure quantitative, meaningful, and reproducible data, and documenting research plans, methods, results, and data analyses. Additionally, the incumbent will prepare and communicate reports and summaries in written and/or verbal form to key stakeholders and broad audiences across the department. Following established operational standards including best practices, safety protocols, and compliance policies is essential, as is the ability to prioritize and coordinate work within a larger team and across functional groups.

Requirements

• Enrolled within a university in the US, pursuing a MS or PhD degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology or related field.
• Experience with molecular biology, gene expression, plant protoplasts or other cell-based systems, and analysis of large datasets.
