GenAI Platform Engineer
About The Position
The Royal Caribbean Group’s AI & Analytics Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time GenAI Platform Engineer reporting to the Director, Platform Engineer. The GenAI Platform Engineer leads the development of full-stack Gen AI applications using a modern Azure-based technology stack. This role collaborates with business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver intelligent solutions that enhance operational efficiency and guest experiences. The engineer is responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing Gen AI-powered applications, integrating multi-cloud capabilities, and ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions. The position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year in Gen AI or LLM-based application development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in full-stack development and Azure cloud services.
- Deep understanding of Gen AI architectures, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Experience with enterprise identity management and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio and multi-cloud Gen AI platforms.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Leads the development of full-stack Gen AI applications using Azure-based technologies.
- Architects and develops Gen AI-powered applications utilizing Azure AI Foundry, Azure Container Apps, Azure AI Search, and Azure Databricks.
- Integrates multi-cloud Gen AI capabilities, including AWS Bedrock and Google Vertex AI, as needed.
- Builds scalable full-stack solutions with Next.js, Streamlit, FastAPI, Radix UI, Tailwind CSS, and Zustand.
- Implements secure authentication and authorization using Azure AD and MSAL.
- Designs and optimizes data pipelines with Databricks Serverless SQL, SQL Server, and Azure Cosmos DB.
- Develops intelligent retrieval systems leveraging Azure AI Search.
- Manages APIs and microservices using Azure APIM and FastAPI.
- Ensures security, observability, and cost-efficiency through Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Cost Management.
- Leads DevOps practices with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
- Supervises and mentors junior engineers, contributing to team growth.
