About The Position

The GenAI Data Scientist will play a crucial role in our AI center of excellence. This position will design, build, and scale machine learning infrastructure and GenAI applications. This is a highly collaborative role, working with VP, Global Analytics & AI COE Leader, product owners, partners, and adjacent technical teams. You will be responsible for production-level large language model (LLM) systems. This includes building RAG pipelines, integrating external APIs, and deploying end-to-end ML solutions with high performance and reliability. This role will also partner with business participants across Gaming, Aristocrat Interactive, Product Madness, IT, Marketing, Finance, Product, Quality and others to uncover and pursue new opportunities for analytics and insights.

Requirements

  • Deep analytical background with a BSc in mathematics, statistics, computer science or relevant experience, MS preferred
  • Additional training and experience in Data Science, BI, Data Visualization, Analytics, Programming relevant to the gambling industry.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R
  • Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub) for managing and collaborating on code effectively.
  • Basic familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP, AWS) for deploying and managing data science workflows
  • Working knowledge of reporting visualization tools
  • Strong understanding of data management practices and the data lifecycle is a plus
  • Applies effective communication techniques, engages in focused dialogue, and demonstrates good listening skills
  • Outstanding oral, written and communication skills with the ability to present to small and large groups

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy GenAI-based applications using enterprise-approved frameworks and models, and custom pipelines.
  • Implement and optimize RAG and Agentic systems using vector search techniques and modern frameworks
  • Handle ML pipelines and infrastructure for training, inference, monitoring, and tracking
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists alongside Machine Learning Operations to scale prototypes to production
  • Stay on top of emerging technologies and trends, such as frameworks, cloud platforms, and distributed computing.
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate tools and frameworks to enhance data processing and analytics capabilities.
  • Work closely with data engineers, software engineers, and machine learning operations to deploy models and workflows into production systems.
  • Support an integrated view of specific data domains like gaming, finance and quality by connecting toolsets and data sources.
  • Present recommendations and results clearly, tailored to the relevant audience
  • Collaborate with partners to measure and report on the impact of deployed models on business outcomes.
  • Liaise with other technical teams within the organization to communicate and coordinate effectively.
  • As a part of a multi-functional environment, you will be expected to stay aware of ongoing efforts across the AI COE Team and find opportunities for shared infrastructure, reusable components, or technical alignment.
