About The Position

The General Maintenance / Duty Engineer performs day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure facilities, equipment, and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Requirements

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum years of experience: 1 year in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing
Certificate(s) or License(s): Possess a valid Missouri “E” or Arkansas “D” driver’s license with “P” endorsement
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Proficient in operating work order management systems.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on facilities, equipment, and grounds.
Troubleshoot and complete complex repairs across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
Ensures work is done in a quality and timely manner.
Work with other departments to address maintenance needs and minimize operational impact.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities.
Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed.
