Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience and work in a GMP regulated industry preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including Windows navigation and data entry.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to read, interpret and execute written instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, combine units of measure, and calculate fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (verified through E-Verify).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience and work in a GMP regulated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communication operational issues from both previous and current shifts.
  • Prepare gelatin feed tanks (Melter’s) according to procedures in effect.
  • Measures and weighs, by manual and computerized scales, gelatin and dyes used in gelatin batches.
  • Processes gelatin master batches and color conversion per applicable SOP and batch record instructions.
  • Adjust viscosity and color according to specifications.
  • Stage/Deliver gelatin to the Technophar Rooms with the correct viscosity, color and formula.
  • Pre-stage the gelatin equipment for color changes.
  • Collaborate with team members to prepare for color changes.
  • Maintain feed (Melter) tank for gel receivers.
  • Washes, inspects, and sanitizes gelatin receivers, mixers, and equipment.
  • Perform appropriate minor preventative maintenance (PMs) as required.
  • Label and ID all clean equipment according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Label and ID gel Receivers with appropriate information, and correct allergen if any.
  • Enter data into the company’s computer software systems.
  • Perform computer transactions associated with material used in the batching process.
  • Complete documentation in accordance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Read and perform job tasks according to SOP’s.
  • Operate both electrical and pneumatic control equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining the Mixing (Gel Prep) room supplies such as pre-mixes (dyes), and housekeeping supplies.
  • Assist with additional projects as assigned.
