About The Position

GEHO Service Technician Weir Minerals Salt Lake City, UT Remote Purpose of Role: The GEHO Service Technician will work in collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders to support aftermarket services, sales of products and business development while ensuring that customer requirements are met. They will be required to inspect, supervise, repair, and troubleshoot GEHO PD pumps and parts and develop theory of likely cause and solution to remedy problems and report up findings while also conducting field maintenance and operation training to end users. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with and in-depth exposure to mining/mineral processing equipment and processes
  • Hands on mechanical and electrical (low voltage) support experience
  • Passport required – Position requires international travel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on positive displacement pumps and mechatronics systems, including instrumentation and PLC controlled equipment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage all on site GEHO pump installations, commissioning, start-up, repair maintenance and test tasks as per defined scopes of work provided.
  • Provide service and supervision to clients GEHO equipment together with ancillary equipment overhauls and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support and backup covering the GEHO equipment operation and maintenance at our clients’ sites
  • Collaborate with GEHO clients for proactive service planning to ensure equipment is performing at an optimum level, including auditing client maintenance plans, recommending improvements where applicable to increase equipment reliability and decrease unplanned downtime.
