Requirements

• Employee must conform to Amtrak's Standards of Excellence and prescribed code of dress.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be fully capable of operating commercial vehicles and mechanized equipment.
• Must have a valid Driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years of college or business equivalent.
• Two (2) years' experience in a service-oriented position.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers in the movement of their personal luggage or parcels within the station or station facilities.
• Provide wheelchair service for disabled and/or handicapped passengers.
• Provide arm assistance to blind individuals to and from the trains.
• Be conversant with the procedure governing the issuance of Red Cap Check NRPC Form 313.
