Leadership of the GE Aviation Materials (GEAM) Engine Trading & Leasing team responsible for buying, selling, leasing, and rebuilding engines to support GE Aerospace reach their strategic and financial goals in the aftermarket. Owns/influences commercial business operating guidelines and has ownership/influence over budgets. Guided by functional policy. There is autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgment are required to achieve outcomes required. Euless Texas or United Kingdom location preferred, however additional US locations may be considered. Roles and Responsibilities: People leadership of the Engine Trading & Leasing team at GEAM. Formulates and executes proposal strategy and sales agreements. Formulates deal structure, pricing, proposal development. Leads customer negotiations. Identifies new opportunities with functional partners to develop new products and services for business growth. Leads hunting and targeting activities for engines across the globe. Understand used engine market pricing dynamics and trends to negotiate sale and purchase pricing. Lead all activities related to engine trading & leasing, including, but not limited to, deal negotiation, contracting, deal closing, and engine handoff processes. Ownership of team Key Performance Indicators. Utilizes FLIGHT DECK to improve proposal process. This is a hybrid of both sales’ origination and commercial proposal activities where ongoing duties of roughly equal importance. Developing commercial expertise across one or more countries, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups. Influences strategy and ensures delivery across large and/or diverse sales territories. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process. Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision. Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers. Establish and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
