Job Description What impact you’ll make As a Gas Power Co-op student, we will prepare you for an exciting career, tackling one of the world’s toughest challenges of providing cleaner, more accessible energy. As a Co-op, you will: Technical challenging assignments in the power generation industry focusing on areas such as of Systems, Analysis, Design, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test. Steam turbine disassembly, inspection, repairs and re-assembly exposure and learning. Job Description: Learn GE OEM steam turbine technologies, configurations, products, and service offerings. Review steam turbine service and inspection reports, customer technical information letters, service bulletins, operational issues, and product offerings to put together fleet engineering recommendations. Steam turbine repairs, manufacturing methods and inspection procedures. Use product life cycle management tools for component design and assembly. Materials and its applications including destructive and non-destructive testing requirements. Parts design and drawing creation in Catia Dassault software. Help and support senior Engineering team members in their projects.

Requirements

  • Must have one to two semesters left prior to graduation and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below, Mechanical/Nuclear engineering, material science engineering, industrial and manufacturing engineering.
  • Looking for the students who can join for at least 10-12 months as Co-Op.
  • Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
  • Must be willing to work in geographical area specified by the business.
  • Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

  • Must be able to develop and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
