As the Onsite Services Specialist, you will provide technical assistance for the preventive and/or corrective maintenance of the LM-family of aero-derivative marine gas turbine engines during ship construction, commissioning, and through to delivery. This position will be based in Pascagoula, Mississippi (onsite at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard) and CANNOT be worked remotely.   • Provide technical direction and assistance to customers in the operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of GE products.
  • Offer on-site interpretation of data and technical instructions.
  • Communicate program status, customer issues, and trends to Project and Field Service management through regular reports.
  • Train and guide customers in proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Assist customers in scheduling maintenance and workload to meet established schedules.
  • Analyze reported malfunctions, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Review maintenance actions to identify training needs and ensure effectiveness.
  • Travel internationally (greater than 50%) as required.
  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience with aero-derivative marine gas turbine engines.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally, often independently.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and quality improvement ability.
  • Naval or ship construction background.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and controls schematics.
