About The Position

Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace intern/co-op! You'll build leadership and technical skills in a supply chain/manufacturing role, working on challenging, real-world problems and solve for what the world needs. You will build relationships with interns/co-ops and leaders, and you'll prepare for a potential full-time position after graduation in one of our fantastic leadership programs or direct hire opportunity. You will gain broad exposure to manufacturing with an array of opportunities to apply Lean and Six Sigma principles in a shop operations environment and improve state-of-the-art manufacturing methods. Examples of experiences include conventional & non-conventional machining, welding & joining, CNC programming, repair & overhaul, and lean manufacturing. You'll be placed taking your preferences into account while also considering your major, year of schooling, and business needs at the time of placement. Willingness and ability to work in any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale.
• Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program.
• Reliable transportation, as many of our sites do not have public transportation available.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship, co-op or military experience in manufacturing/supply chain or engineering.
• Demonstrated commitment to community and/or university involvement.

Responsibilities

• Build a strong technical foundation in manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Engage in key manufacturing, new product integration, new technology integration, continuous improvement, and cost out.
• Participate in daily operations within Supply Chain, including materials management and sourcing.

• Pay rates for this position begin at $20/hour and increase for each undergraduate year completed.
