MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a GDIT Emerge Labs Sr. Manager, the work you'll do will be impactful to the mission of our Federal, Intelligence and Defense customers. You will play a crucial role in managing and designing GDIT's internal research and development (IR&D) lab environment, known as Emerge Labs. This is a multi-tenant, hybrid, multi-cloud environment where internal GDIT teams conduct R&D activities to support our customers. Manage and mentor a team of system engineering and administration resources designing, operating and securing the Emerge Labs environment. Lead IT architecture and design projects and documentation. Manage and coordinate resources across multiple support organizations to execute lab engineering projects. Oversee and manage day-to-day engineering and operational activities supporting Emerge Labs common services and tenant environments. Collaborate with GDIT Engineers and Architects working within Emerge Labs to ensure services meet mission requirements. Partner with GDIT Cybersecurity resources to help ensure secure operations. Drive process and procedures for engineering and operational activities within the Emerge Labs environment. The GDIT Emerge Labs Sr Manager must have: Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree) Experience: 5+ years of related experience Technical skills: Proven track record of leading IT services engineering efforts in a hybrid, multi-cloud environment. Hands-on expertise with cloud services from providers such as AWS, Azure and Google Deep expertise in one or more of the following key technology areas: Cloud Services, Data Center Virtualization, Networking, IT Service Management (ITSM), Software and Application Development, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Cyber Engineering. Experience designing and delivering multi-tenant datacenter and cloud services. Expertise in IT Configuration and Change Management practices US Persons Role requirements: Must be located within a 1-hour commute of GDIT's Falls Church, VA Headquarters to support incidents or outages related to physical lab space Strong leadership skills and the ability to prioritize and drive outcomes in a dynamic and fast paced R&D environment Ability to resolve complex IT challenges within an R&D environment where vendor documentation or install instructions may be lacking. The likely salary range for this position is $178,500 - $241,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Requirements

5+ years of related experience
Proven track record of leading IT services engineering efforts in a hybrid, multi-cloud environment.
Hands-on expertise with cloud services from providers such as AWS, Azure and Google
Deep expertise in one or more of the following key technology areas: Cloud Services, Data Center Virtualization, Networking, IT Service Management (ITSM), Software and Application Development, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Cyber Engineering.
Experience designing and delivering multi-tenant datacenter and cloud services.
