About The Position

The Global Data Center (GDC) Transformation Principal Specialist is a pivotal role at NTT DATA, focusing on enhancing business processes, portfolio management, and program management within a global Data Center organization. This position aims to identify improvement opportunities, implement technology enhancements, and drive transformation initiatives across various regions, including America, Asia-Pacific, Europe/Middle East, and Africa. The role requires collaboration with leadership and stakeholders to create scalable and efficient processes, leveraging technology as a key enabler for transformation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving, strategic mindset, and critical thinking skills, preferably from a top consulting firm or strategy organization.
  • Excellent executive presence and team-building skills, driving accountability and inspiring action.
  • Strong Project and Program Portfolio Management skills.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and tools for strategic synthesis.
  • MBA, Masters degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in architecting, refining, and structuring transformations, portfolios, and/or large complex programs using industry-standard technologies and BI/analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience with tier-one data centers or hyperscale providers.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Global Transformation team to modernize and create a scalable foundation for the organization structure, roles, responsibilities, governance, and process flows.
  • Act as a technology product manager in interactions with stakeholders.
  • Create a roadmap for Transformation, Portfolio, and Program technologies, considering both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Engage GDC leadership and functional leaders through executive communications and presentations, working closely with the VP of Transformation.
  • Lead the Transformation Management Office, facilitating the 'Transformation Lifecycle' from Envisioning to Measurement for transformational initiatives.
  • Drive execution of key short- and mid-term transformation initiatives, including discovery, functional development, and change initiatives.
  • Architect organization-wide GDC objectives, key results, and performance metrics to measure strategic alignment and effectiveness of transformation efforts.
  • Provide data-driven strategic advice and thought leadership on operationalizing value drivers for GDC transformation.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for deliverables for senior executive and shareholder audiences.
  • Set the tone for value creation and sustain transformation efforts over the long term.
