Position Summary As a GCS (Gas & Chemical Systems) Central Control Room (CCR) Operator at Samsung Austin Semiconductor, you will be part of a team of technician operators who focus on the monitoring of safe and reliable supply of gas and chemicals to a large semiconductor manufacturing facility. The CCR shift technicians monitor field contractor operations of gas and chemical systems that operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This position responsibilities include monitoring system operations to ensure continuity of operations and information, data gathering for any supply interruptions or quality issues, which includes manufacturing impact, timeline, data analysis and root cause investigation.

Requirements

  • Technical associates degree or equivalent related training.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to represent the group in work coordination and execution.
  • 4+ years of chemical or gas delivery operations experience; semiconductor facility support preferred.
  • Systems troubleshooting experience and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with design and installation of gas and chemical equipment including piping systems and facility support equipment.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office tools (excel, PowerPoint, word, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate situational awareness of operations and maintenance in GCS areas.
  • Overseeing the immediate corrective actions and for any safety or quality of supply issues.
  • Aiding in the development of response guides, procedures, and training to improve operations.
  • Participating in Samsung’s Safety Drill program; and participate in group safety and quality meetings.
  • Participating in safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world class safety performance.
