Position Summary The GCS Chemical Maintenance team is focused on maintaining specialty chemical equipment at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. The Chemical Maintenance team works in conjunction with GCS engineering and operations teams and contracted operations teams to optimize the safety, operations and maintenance.

Requirements

  • 2+ Year of college/technical school or equivalent related experience preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in facilities or high volume semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to represent the group in work coordination and execution.
  • 4+ years of chemical or gas delivery operations and/or maintenance experience; semiconductor facility support preferred.
  • Experience with pumps, valves, HMIs, piping distribution systems.
  • Experience with systems troubleshooting and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Aptitude for documentation and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with design and installation of gas and chemical equipment including piping systems and facility support equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime / on non-scheduled days as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in semiconductor engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Operations Chemical Maintenance Technicians will provide technical expertise for chemical systems, safety and quality standards, and improvements for those systems.
  • Technician will interact with operations teams both internal and contract, and equipment vendors to sustain and maintain equipment.
  • Troubleshoot emergent equipment issues and provide technical direction to resolve.
  • Work with engineering teams to plan and execute non-standard equipment maintenance to address failures or equipment improvements.
  • New Equipment Startup Aid engineering to commission and startup new equipment installations.
  • Optimize PM (preventative maintenance) strategies for aging assets to minimize risk of unexpected failures.
