Position Summary The Bulk Gas Engineering team is focused on comprehensively owning, commissioning, maintaining, supporting, and improving specialty and bulk gas operations at the Samsung T1 site. As a part of the Gas Systems team, you will provide support by interacting with the on-site contract operations team. Role and Responsibilities Here's what you'll be responsible for: Equipment Operations Providing necessary technical leadership to internal engineering, contracted maintenance, and associated vendor teams. Coordinating equipment technical review boards between equipment vendors and GCS teams to standardize equipment, improve reliability, and work methods. Improving GCS group engineering development and mentorship program, including understanding of how the material GCS provides is utilized by Fab Engineering. Interfacing with various FAB engineering teams providing technical analysis, support, supply issue resolution, and quality improvements. Providing expertise for bulk gas systems, gas analyzer systems, safety, quality, and reliability standards, as well as improvements for those systems. Driving continuous improvement projects to improve quality, reliability, productivity, and safety, while also reducing cost. Work days and hours: M-F, 1st Shift. New Equipment Startup Commissioning and startup new equipment installations. Supporting and leading MOC for PSM and RMP covered processes. Driving continuous improvement projects to improve quality, productivity, and safety, while also reducing cost. Evaluating future scenario planning including infrastructure budget and schedule forecasting, utilization and capacity data analysis, and reporting. Process Improvement. Implementing standardization methods across equipment fleet (work processes, alarm management, 6s principles). Optimizing PM (preventative maintenance) strategies for aging assets to minimize risk of unexpected failures. Improving process control and monitoring methods to ensure a robust proactive approach to sustaining large equipment sets.
