About The Position

As a Cloud Architect you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform. Your expertise in GCP services and resource deployment will drive the companys digital transformation initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of cloud-based applications.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of GCP Architecture, including:
  • Resource Hierarchy (Org → Folders → Projects)
  • Organization Policies
  • Shared VPC
  • VPC Service Controls (VPC SC)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Cloud Run, GKE, and DataProc usage patterns
  • IAM design (least privilege, custom roles, Cloud Identity groups)
  • Security services (Cloud KMS, Secret Manager)
  • Centralized logging and monitoring (Cloud Logging / Cloud Monitoring)
  • Ability to review and guide Terraform based IaC at enterprise scale.
  • Familiarity with multi environment setups (Prod/Staging/QA/Dev).
  • Experience working in large migration or RFP driven programs with unknowns and evolving inputs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience architecting landing zones or platform foundations in GCP.
  • Exposure to hybrid connectivity (VPN / Interconnect).
  • Understanding of CI/CD workflows in Cloud Build and GitOps models.
  • Experience collaborating with security, DevOps, and platform engineering teams.
  • Experience with AWS to GCP migrations (applications, ETL, Lambda re architecture).
  • Familiarity with COTS application migration considerations.
  • Strong documentation and review ability for runbooks and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize GCP resource hierarchy, including org-level configuration, folders, and project structure.
  • Define landing zone architecture including Shared VPC, VPC SC, IAM strategy, and environment configuration.
  • Provide architectural oversight across landing zone augmentation, environment setup, and terraform based codification.
  • Review Terraform plans, modules, and resource import patterns from existing AWS/GCP workloads.
  • Collaborate with networking, IAM, DevOps, and migration teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant design.
  • Guide parity testing between source and target infrastructure for cost and performance benchmarking.
