Overview: Serves in a leadership position responsible for managing Transaction Managers and deal volume. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and maintain procedures and guidelines for the transaction management model and the Structured Finance product expansion, including working with all support and operational groups to develop document standards suitable to Wilmington Trust. Serve as a market presence for the business by attending conferences, assisting sales with client meetings and facilitating calls and presentations with rating agencies as required. Assist Sales with business development initiatives and coordinating deal structures depending on asset types. Serve as internal liaison for all support groups surrounding the Structured Finance Product Expansion. Attend to escalated client issues and ensure they are prioritized appropriately. Determine appropriate counsel for deals and contracts. Provide back-up support for Transaction Managers as required by business travel and vacation. May manage a team of Transaction Managers or Transaction Management Leaders for a specific asset type or business line. Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations. Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
