About The Position

The Sponsor M&A Group is a key team within M&A at Goldman Sachs, focused on covering financial sponsor clients and their portfolio companies. We cover clients across all industries and provide M&A, financing and other corporate finance solutions utilizing dedicated resources The Sponsor M&A Group has built a leading Secondary Advisory business that provides strategic advice to sponsor clients on a range of general partner (GP) led secondary transactions, including Single and Multi-Asset Continuation Funds, Strip Sales, Tender Offers and other related structures. The Secondary Advisory business is fully integrated within M&A and Sponsor / Industry Coverage, enabling the team to provide clients with differentiated insight and service. The team has unique experience in structuring and executing GP-led transactions, having helped develop many of the technologies utilized in today's market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • History of outstanding academic achievement
  • Effective presentation, communication, and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Highly collaborative and motivated to work as part of a team
  • Strong quantitative and analytical background; experience in modeling and valuation techniques is a plus
  • Demonstrated interest in private equity and other alternative investment strategies

Responsibilities

  • Worked alongside senior professionals to execute secondary transactions at every stage of the deal process
  • Prepared presentation materials tailored for prospective clients
  • Conducted comprehensive due diligence on potential transactions using various financial and industry analyses
  • Assisted in creating transaction marketing materials, including financial models, investor presentations, confidential information memorandums, and process letters
  • Supported the logistics of capital raising and investor due diligence activities, such as managing online data rooms, organizing meetings and calls, handling investor requests, and gathering investor feedback
  • Maintained multiple information databases and monitored market data
