About The Position

Join the dynamic Global Banking (“GB”) Central Planning & Analysis team! Play a pivotal role in leading analyses that influence business growth strategy. Collaborate with finance partners, business management, and strategy teams to drive impactful business and financial analytics for GB and its diverse businesses. As a Vice President within the GB Central Planning & Analysis team, you will play a crucial role in conducting and presenting business and financial analytics to GB Co-heads, GB CFO, and other senior members of GB sub line of business. Your responsibilities will include creating, maintaining, and reviewing financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc). Additionally, you will conduct in-depth analyses on key issues impacting clients to determine root causes and propose effective solutions.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting and at least 5 years of experience in Corporate Finance
• Understands a bank’s balance sheet and P&L and has experience in corporate financial analytics and understanding of key drivers
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; strategic thinker
• Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and articulate appropriately
• Strong work ethic; works well in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive and has a sense of urgency, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
• The candidate must be a self-starter and seek to break the status quo and initiate improvements where necessary
• Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues

Nice To Haves

• Management Consulting, Corporate Finance experience preferred
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Alteryx preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead dialogue with senior business leadership as well as stakeholders across the Global Bank to provide information on the business trends, financial performance, market strategy, competitive landscape, and industry trends
• Help prepare presentation materials and financial analytics for senior management for financial reporting meetings, quarterly business reviews, and budget
• Create, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc)
• Conduct "deep dive" analyses on key issues impacting clients/business to determine root causes and propose solutions
• Develop, consolidate and present insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis for key internal clients including senior management; participate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed
• Partner with Business Management and Analytics and Reporting teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers, and the “so what, now what?” dialogue
• Drive value-added change by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support
• Lead and manage a team
