About The Position

This position involves receiving, storing, transferring, and dispensing petroleum products according to established procedures. A key aspect of the role is testing and inspecting jet fuel to ensure its quality and reliability. The individual will be responsible for complying with attendance standards, conducting various quality tests on fuel products, and recording test data following statistical quality control procedures. The role also requires adherence to all company, industry, local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations and procedures. The Gauger will procure daily, weekly, and monthly petroleum product inventories as required, prepare and process necessary documentation, and comply with A4A specifications on fuel quality. Additionally, the employee will be required to pump fuel pits and provide auto gas functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Must pass color vision and drug tests to be considered for employment.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Valid driver’s license/Pass airport driver’s test.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, transfer and dispense petroleum products in accordance with established procedures.
  • Test and inspect jet fuel to assure quality and reliability of product.
  • Comply with the location’s attendance standards.
  • Select and test fuel products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and/or chemical characteristics.
  • Record test data, following statistical quality control procedures.
  • Conduct work in a safe and environmentally conscious fashion by adhering to all company, industry, local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations and procedures.
  • Procure daily, weekly and monthly petroleum product inventories as required.
  • Prepare and process required documentation related to work performed.
  • Comply with A4A specifications on fuel quality.
  • Pump fuel pits and provide auto gas functions as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
