The primary role is to make sure that measurements taken with the use of equipment are accurate. They are responsible for the regular monitoring and maintenance of equipment and instruments to ensure that their readings and output match the desired results. Their duties include testing, maintenance, routine inspection, as well as the repair of instruments and manufacturing equipment. Essential Functions of the Job: Ability to perform calibration of simple gauges and monitor external gauge system. Create and maintain documentation of calibration records. Ability to work with other departments to acquire prints for gauges needed. Knowledge of all related work instructions and procedures Keeps areas and gauges neat and orderly, following 5S procedures. Understands and follows all safety procedures/policies. Ability to create gauging work instructions. Willingness and ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to make most decisions on his/her own. Willingness to get involved with quality and continuous improvement initiatives. Shares information with others inside and outside of department Ability to successfully train new employees. Ability to work with others in a team environment. Performs all facets of gage calibration assembles gage set-up boxes interacts with internal and external parties pertaining to ISO/IATF audits.
