We are currently looking to fill a Full-Time, permanent position for a Gatekeeper in our Production Department at our Laredo, TX facility.

Requirements

  • Experience with computers, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Effective reading, writing, oral communication, and listening skills are essential job tools
  • Organization and attention to detail are essential
  • Patient, respectful, and able to lead employees effectively
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure or constantly changing tight deadlines
  • The schedule will fluctuate according to the needs of the company.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • The gatekeeper must always remain on the floor and is also responsible for system entry of any kind
  • Ensure that all boxes are counted and/or weighed and that all pallets are labeled as they enter and exit the repacking department
  • Provide label information to record all repackaging-related product and dry goods activity in the ERP system
  • Quickly identify and resolve all tag issues and ensure records correspond to corrections and/or notes in the ERP system
  • Report problems/concerns to the production planner
  • Monitor #2s and products unloaded on each line, ensuring they are properly isolated, counted/weighed, and reported for each supplier and ensure proper entry into the ERP system
  • You must confirm the count of all pallets and label all pallets before they leave their respective lines or locations
  • Review the input for the ERP system received from line leaders, prior to processing
  • Ensure continuous communication with line leaders and production supervisor and production planner
  • Report any food safety or health and safety concerns immediately to the production supervisor and production planner
  • Make all labels/stickers accurately and according to specifications
  • Make sure all line materials (exp labels, etc.) are ready before supplies are needed
  • Additional duties as assigned.
