About The Position

Position Overview: As a Gate Worker, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a fun and safe experience for all pool patrons. The pool season runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, and your contributions will be essential to our success!

Requirements

Must be at least 15 years of age.
Attend mandatory training prior to each season.
Knowledge of city policies and procedures relevant to the role.
Strong clerical and organizational skills.
Familiarity with laws, ordinances, and safety regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships.
Proficient in operating office equipment and performing basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

Greet patrons with a smile, collect entry fees, and answer questions to ensure a welcoming experience.
Open admissions and concession areas, maintaining smooth daily operations.
Collect fees, issue receipts, and keep meticulous records of all revenue during your shift.
Assist pool users by providing brochures, directions, and information on pool rules and regulations.
Communicate effectively with staff and public safety officials during emergencies.
Conduct litter pick-up and maintain cleanliness in and around the admissions area and pool.
Operate various office equipment and maintain office supply inventories.
Build effective relationships with supervisors, staff, patrons, and external partners.
Keep workspaces organized and perform general cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and tidy environment.
Attend department meetings and assist with additional duties as assigned.
