About The Position
The Gate Shop Associate is responsible for building chain link gates for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role focuses on efficiently producing quality gates while maintaining a safe, organized work area. Occasional support in the yard may be required.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in a shop and an outdoor environment
- Basic measuring and tool skills
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Nice To Haves
- Prior fabrication, fencing, or construction experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assemble chain link gates to order specifications
- Stretch and secure chain link fabric onto gate frames
- Install hardware, including tension bars, bands, and fittings
- Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately
- Inspect finished gates to ensure quality, alignment, and durability
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Properly use and care for tools and equipment
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear the required PPE
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Help stage and move finished gates
- Support general yard organization when required
