About The Position

The Gate Attendant is responsible for protecting property from theft or damage and ensuring the safety of individuals on the premises. This role involves monitoring access to the facility, providing assistance to visitors, and maintaining order by enforcing regulations. The position requires a commitment to customer service and effective communication, as well as the ability to respond to emergencies and report incidents appropriately. The Gate Attendant works a night shift schedule from Thursday to Sunday, with initial training on day shift for the first 30 days.

Requirements

• Courteous telephone manner.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.
• Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
• Familiarity with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the client facility and assist visitors with legitimate needs for entry.
• Provide a courteous and respectful atmosphere for all client employees and visitors.
• Communicate openly and honestly in all situations as authorized.
• Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized entry and control the movement of people and vehicles.
• Patrol the assigned site on foot or in a vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• Prepare logs or reports as required, using standard grammar and appropriate equipment.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to emergencies in an orderly manner, following all standard operating procedures.
