Gastroenterology Physician Assistant
About The Position
Prime Healthcare of Illinois Medical Group is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Gastroenterology team at Resurrection Medical Center . This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work within a high-performing, collaborative inpatient and outpatient GI practice at a leading Chicago-based hospital. About Resurrection Medical Center Resurrection Medical Center is a part of Prime Healthcare and serves the northwest side of Chicago. Known for clinical excellence, community outreach, and patient-centered care, the center provides advanced diagnostic and therapeutic options in multiple specialties, including a growing GI department.
Requirements
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Illinois.
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive medical team.
- EMR proficiency (experience with Epic is a plus).

- 1+ year of experience in Gastroenterology or inpatient medicine
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive GI care alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians and support staff.
- Conduct initial assessments, follow-ups, and manage inpatient consults and outpatient follow-up visits.
- Assist with procedures and ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate closely with attending gastroenterologists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in care coordination, documentation, and patient education.
